Malcolm Todd

Director

 

Malcolm is an Environmental Engineer and has been with Babingtons since 2006. Malcolm leads the land development and contaminated land teams at Babingtons and has extensive experience working in both the private and public sector in these fields.

Matt Byrne

Director

 

Matt’s been with Babingtons since 2004 and has over 25 years’ experience in the environmental protection field. Matt brought with him a strong background in contaminated land before becoming involved in the erosion and sediment control aspects of land development in the Auckland Region. Matt currently assists the Auckland Council on a wide range of projects providing expert advice on resource consents, land management and freshwater protection.

Sarah Bradford

Operations Manager


Sarah has been with Babingtons since April 2003 and is a valuable member of the team. Sarah currently manages our accounting and basic operations from her home office on a part time basis and is the go-to person for any questions regarding accounts, administration or operational queries.

Dani Sempers

Environmental Consultant

 

Dani is an environmental consultant with 8 years experience working in contaminated land projects in both the UK and New Zealand. She has been primarily focused on asbestos in soils over the last 3 years, and has assisted public and private clients in this emerging field as well as delivered asbestos awareness training to contractors on site and to clients nationwide. She is competent at completing contaminated land investigations and working with local authorities.

Fox

Office Dog, Land Cruiser Dog, Park Dog, Snooze Dog

 

Fox is Babington’s resident friendly dog. He graduated from the University of Dogland with honours and has over 2 years’ experience in dog stuff and other dog projects. Fox has a wide range of skills in chewing bones and fetching balls and likes nothing better than a good bark on occasion. As Fox explained recently: "Woof, woof, woof, barrrk, ba-ba-bark! Woof! woofwoof!" We couldnt agree more. 

Fox also writes medieval Spanish poetry in his spare time, as required, reminiscent of the work of Gonzalo de Berceo.

Sean Toland

Senior Environmental Consultant

Member of the New Zealand Demolition & Asbestos Association (NZDAA)

 

Sean has project experience in contaminated land, geotechnical investigations, waste management, emergency spill response, environmental monitoring, asbestos management and land development. Since joining Babingtons in 2017, his focus is on contaminated land investigations, asbestos surveying in buildings and erosion and sediment control monitoring. Sean's 19 years’ experience in the industry means that he brings a pragmatic, efficient and friendly approach to project management.

Lawrence Hui

Project Engineer
 

Lawrence is a Civil Engineer with experience in the environmental and civil engineering fields. Lawrence’s expertise is in stormwater management and overland flow path design as well as hydrological and hydraulic modelling. Lawrence has been involved in projects requiring flood risk and flow assessment, stormwater and wastewater treatment and disposal, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, stormwater mitigation for both new and existing projects.

Wisam Alfakher

Project Engineer
 

Wisam is a Civil and Infrastructure Engineer who provides innovative solutions in stormwater, wastewater and earthworks design. Wisam graduated with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Iraq and has obtained higher education from The National University of Malaysia. He has been working on water resources, project management and infrastructure since 2003. Wisam is also a member of Engineering New Zealand.
